Sadim the Bully and his hench-person the Hag had appointed a new Sorcerer. However, he was a false Sorcerer with no spells save for the art of making large plates of meat dissappear and another of making loud explosive noises from his mouth.
The Hag took to telling the Guru to send the Sorcerer in his stead when calls for help within the Kingdom came. The Bully, extolling the virtues of FUBC the Sorcerer decreed that the Wizard would cast no more spells and would instead oil the wheels of the Sorcerers cart.
The Wizard and the Guru were generous souls and invited FUBC the Sorcerer to the Celebration in the Parklands to particicipate in the Spell Casting of the Web. FUBC sorely tried their patience that day being unable to carry out the simplest of tasks and disappearing regularly to partake of the feast that was laid on.
Thus when the agency responsible for the Happiness of the Children of the Valley of the Trees got in touch seeking enchantment and spells for a Big Party the Guru and the Wizard chose not to include FUBC the Fake Sorcerer in their plans. This incurred the wrath of Sadim the Bully as he was the main benefactor and patron of FUBC. This will be spoken of in the next chapter.
The Wizard and the Guru assembled a body of willing and able volunteers to attend to the spell making at the Palace of the Tall Trees and these included the Wizard Notpodes and Captain Black. These various Wizards and Captains and Volunteers assembled in the premises of the Bully to prepare for their arduous tasks ahead. There was some unpleasantness when the Bully stalked among them demanding to know their names one by one and being severely unfriendly and rude. Luckily the assembled team were not faint hearted and soon shook of the gloom descended upon them by the Bully
The day of the Big Party was a big success with thousands of Children from the Valley of the Trees attending. The team of Wizards and Gurus cast many spells and made the children very happy. At the end of a long and tiring day the Wizards and Gurus called at a local Hostelry and made merry. They counted up the output taxes they had collected that day and found they had hundreds which could all go towards funding the Bully's country retreat and ale house. Maybe he would finally be happy.
