As told in the earlier chapter the Guru was cast out but still obliged to pay tribute to Sadim the Bully's empire in the form of output taxes.
The Gurus heart was heavy as he contemplated this task unaided as he was and having no shiny objects. Nor did he have the means by which to travel within the Kindom so his world was small.
However, happenstance often comes to the aid of people of good heart in their darkest hour and this was no exception. Several things started to happen as if by magic (and it most probably was; magic, that is).
The White Wizard from Oofee made some funds available from his Kingdom's coffers with which the Guru could purchase shiny objects and spells. Other such gestures were made and soon the Guru had a treasury of his own. This was a very good thing because there came one day from the South an invitation to travel to the Kingdom of Leeds to confer and consult with other notable Gurus and Elders of the land. It was here that the Guru learned of and was given the spell of FLOSS. This was a wonderful and powerful spell and added to the other gifts that had been bestowed upon the Guru he had all he needed to build a new Kindom in the Valley of the Trees.
When it came to the time to count the output taxes delivered to the Kingdom it became apparent the the Guru was far exceeding his quota and indeed exceeding the total output taxes collected by Sadim the Bully and all his underlings put together.
Then the fair Princess Google bestowed a High Ranking upon the Guru whilst the Bully was obliged to pay for his rank.
Eventually people came to understand that the Guru's ill temper and incomptetence were a myth perpetrated by the Bully. It is often the case when spells are cast with evil intent but fail to take hold on the victim that they attach themselves to the owner of the evil intent. And so it was that people came to look fair upon the Guru and consider the Bully to be the one of ill temper and incompetence.
